Our programs

Our curriculums are planned with developmentally appropriate experiences that foster each child’s sense of curiosity to discover and learn.

Our Curriculum context is developed using the developmental needs and interests of each child as its key focus.

Our Curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework with the aim to achieve the five key learning outcomes of:

  • children have a strong sense

  • children are connected

  • children have a strong sense of wellbeing

  • children are confident and involved learners (learning)

  • children are effective communicators (communication)

The outcomes provide a shared dialogue for all early childhood professionals and families to use when planning for children’s learning and development, which allows for continuity when a child transitions from Kindergarten to school.

Our rooms

Toddler room 

As the babies become Toddlers they move into the Toddler Room. It is a whole new world when babies take to their feet. They walk, they talk, and they begin to develop relationships with each other. 

Your toddler has so many things he or she wants to see and do, and we’ll be there to guide your child every step of the way. Toddlers learn through sensory experiences that enhance their cognitive, language, motor and social skills.

They turn ideas into words and phrases to better express themselves and practice the value of sharing and cooperating through group play. Children at this stage start to develop friendships and gain confidence as they use their words and thoughts to interact with others. 

At 3 Apples, we provide our children with a caring and nurturing environment allowing the next stage of independence and learning. And here is where they develop friendships, confidence and self-esteem.

Baby Room 

In our baby room, we provide your child with all the love and care that they need. We work together with families to ensure consistency between the home environment and our centre and that the children feel happy and secure. We offer a wide range of activities and experiences that further your child’s development. Many of these experiences are accessible for the children to explore their interest and expand on their world in their own time.

Our 3-year-old Kindergarten Program is delivered by a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher

Here is where we focus on encouraging a love of learning that will prepare children for life. Kinder 3 Room  is programmed to meet the ever expanding interest and abilities of the children.

Using the Early Years Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework we focus on a number of areas of interest throughout the year, these are based on child’s interests, and ways of extending their development. At this age is where they will express their unique creative ideas and talents.

A preschooler’s world opens up in new ways as children improve coordination, learn complex games, and begin to interact more with others. 3 – 4 year old children learn by doing, with our Kindergarten program, your preschooler will strengthen his or her cognitive skills with plenty of hands-on activities

At 3 Apples we are an Approved 4-year-old Funded Kindergarten program.
Our Qualified Early Childhood Teacher implements our 4-year-old program.

In our K4 room, we have a focus on School Readiness, whilst still programming for individual interests and abilities. In small groups, we explore musical and literacy concepts on a daily basis. We also program-specific school readiness activities based on literacy, numeracy, fine motor, cognitive and social skills development. This program is based on the children’s needs and family input.

P4 Kindergarten is a critical time for 4 – 5-year-old children as they begin the adventure of a lifetime of learning. Every day your child is learning and doing more, our caring, qualified & experienced kindergarten teachers are dedicated to providing a rich, nurturing environment that will prepare your child for Preschool.

We promote independence in an organised atmosphere, as it is increasingly important for children to be their own thinkers. We also teach children to work well within a group through listening, sharing and cooperation.
